Beating the game is difficult, and it may take some time to do so if you\u2019re not used to the gameplay style. Here we discuss how long it takes to beat Alien: Isolation<\/em>, and also answer other questions that are commonly asked about the game.<\/p>\n

Can you hide from this Alien<\/p>\n

According to How Long To Beat, Alien: Isolation<\/em> will take around 25 hours to complete the main story at a leisurely pace.<\/p>\n

I have to admit that it took me a lot longer to beat Alien: Isolation<\/em>, though. Playing on the Normal difficulty setting, it took me around 30 hours<\/strong> to complete the main story, with an extra 2 hours<\/strong> to complete both of the DLCs, Crew Expendable<\/em> and Last Survivor<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re going for the completionist approach \u2013 beating the main story, DLCs, extras, and all trophies \u2013 you should expect to spend between 45<\/strong> and 50 hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Either way, Alien: Isolation<\/em> is a great horror game and you certainly can\u2019t accuse the developers of skimping on the content.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Alien Isolation \u2013 Ripley<\/p>\n

Alien: Isolation<\/em> is a very difficult game, especially if you play on the game\u2019s recommended difficulty setting of Hard. Depending on how well you cope with horror games, playing on Hard will for certain increase the immersion of the game and allow you to experience it how the developers intended.\u00a0<\/p>\n

For me, Hard was a bit too much, so I wimped out and opted for the Normal setting. If you want to just get a taste for the game without worrying about it being too difficult, there are Easy and Novice modes. Conversely, if you want to get a bit crazy, try beating the game on Nightmare mode, though be warned that there is no map and your motion tracker will malfunction on occasion.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Overall, Alien: Isolation<\/em> is one of the more difficult horror games around, but that also adds to its replay value. Once you;ve\u00a0<\/p>\n

Alien Isolation Motion Tracker<\/p>\n

Alien: Isolation<\/em> is one of the scariest game horror games around on all platforms, but it\u2019s not scary in a typical horror game way. The jump scares aren\u2019t gonna come out and get like they do in Amnesia<\/em> or Resident Evil 7<\/em>, for example, but the sense of atmosphere and dread that Isolation<\/em> creates is unparalleled.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The tension created through the soundtrack and visuals will constantly have you on tenterhooks, and if you\u2019re not used to horror games, you might find that you\u2019ll want to take a break after a while.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The horror in Isolation<\/em> is a slow burning type of horror that will keep you thoroughly engaged as you try to tiptoe and maneuver your way around the alien and the mortal danger it brings. For horror aficionados, Alien: Isolation<\/em> is a must try.\u00a0<\/p>\n
