Step 1 \u2013 Gather the Ingredients<\/h3>\n

Gathering Belladonna to make the potion<\/p>\n

First of all, you\u2019ll have to acquire the necessary ingredients. Fortunately, there isn\u2019t much you\u2019ll need to make Saviour Schnapps. All you need is 1x Wine<\/strong>, 1x Nettle<\/strong>, and 2x Belladonna<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

You can get all this stuff from any apothecary, or you can go scavenging the fields and forests for the ingredients yourself. Nettle and Belladonna are fairly ubiquitous herbs throughout the KCD<\/em> map, and you shouldn\u2019t have any difficulty finding some.\u00a0Belladonna is a bit harder to find than Nettle but there is an abundant spot in a field southeast of Rovna.<\/p>\n

Step 2 \u2013 Find an Alchemist\u2019s Bench<\/h3>\n

The next thing you need to do to make Saviour Schnapps is to locate an Alchemist\u2019s Bench. There are 8 of them in total in the game, and the first one you\u2019re likely to come across is in Rattay, just behind the Alchemy shop. Go past the shop on the right hand side and you won\u2019t miss it.<\/p>\n

Most of the other alchemy benches are owned by Herbalists that typically live near the major towns. There are also two benches at Sasau Monastery \u2013 one on the inside, and one in the grounds outside run by Brother Nicodemus.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Step 3 \u2013 Brew the Potion<\/h3>\n

Now that you\u2019ve got the ingredients and located an Alchemist\u2019s bench, it\u2019s time to start brewing the potion. There are a few steps required to make Saviour Schapps, but they\u2019re all easy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

First, interact with the book to the right of the alchemy station and flip through until you find the recipe your after. Even if your reading skill is low (it should be at least 1 though), you should be able to figure out what it says. Either memorise the process or write it down for ease of access. Automatically lay out the ingredients required for the recipe by pressing the command as shown on the screen (hold X for the PS4).\u00a0<\/p>\n

Next, add the base to the pot. In this instance, it is wine. Then add the nettles to the wine and bring to a boil by intermittently pumping the bellows. This should be done for 2 turns (a turn is measured by flipping the hourglass and waiting for the time to run down), but I\u2019ve found that it works simply by bringing it to a boil and then allowing it to cool down right away.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Once the mixture has cooled, grind the Belladonna with the mortar and pestle and add it in. Bring back to a boil for one more turn and then allow to cool.\u00a0<\/p>\n

All that\u2019s left to do now is to grab a phial from the shelf to the left of the pot and dump in the potion.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Step 4 \u2013 Drink your Saviour Schnapps!<\/h3>\n

Now that you have successfully bottled your Saviour Schnapps potion, you are free to use it whenever.\u00a0<\/p>\n

These potions are incredibly useful, especially if you are playing without mods that allow you to save the game whenever. I always keep a handful of them on me before embarking on the main story missions, just so I can save at various points throughout the mission, without having to worry about going back to a far gone checkpoint if I die.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Where to buy Saviour Schnapps<\/h2>\n

Most taverns sell Saviour Schnapps<\/p>\n

If you think that making your own Savior Schnapps is a bit of a faff and not a worthwhile time investment, don\u2019t worry, there are plenty of places to buy it. In fact, if I\u2019m completely honest, more often than not I would buy my Savior Schnapps potions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nearly all alchemists, traders, and innkeepers have the potion in store. So if you\u2019re running short and time and need some saving potion, you\u2019ll never be too far away from a merchant selling it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

How to Make Marigold Decoction<\/h2>\n

Marigold Decoctions can heal you after battle<\/p>\n

Another very useful home brew to master at the Alchemist\u2019s Bench is the Marigold Decoction healing potion. It\u2019s another fairly simple recipe to make and requires few ingredients. You\u2019ll just need 1 x Nettle, 2 x Marigold<\/strong>, and some Water<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

To make it, add Water as the base to the Cauldron. Add the nettle and bring the mixture to the boil. Allow the brew to cool down before adding the Marigold. Then, simply grab a phial and pour the brew into it.\u00a0<\/p>\n
